What is that KOHLER K-6331-VS Evoke Single Control Pullout Kitchen Faucet, Vibrant Stainless.Elegant, functional and it fits!By Michael A. ShoemakerFirst, I have previously reviewed an excellent Grohe kitchen faucet and would still recommend this faucet highly. The reason for replacing it with this equally excellent Kohler relates to how the unit fits given a change that we have made while remodeling the kitchen. In doing the remodel we are replacing an existing ceramic tile backsplash with granite. Critically, the granite backsplash is deeper and therefore intrudes on the top of the granite countertop further than the old tile backsplash did. The operating lever on the Grohe is longer and positioned in the center of the faucet, so when you pushd the lever back to get hot water, it would touch the tile at the full hot setting. With the granite being deeper, this lever would not be able to go to full hot because the granite would block the lever! Not a good thing!The Kohler eliminates this problem in two ways: First, the lever is shorter and therefore pushing it towards the rear does not extend the lever as far back and second, the valve and handle are towards the front of the faucet rather than centered with it.
